Paddle for Hope
Of every board and paddle sold, from the Paddle for Hope Collection a small amount goes to the PINC & STEEL Cancer Rehabilitation Trust. It is a registered charitable trust working to improve the quality of life of people affected with cancer. It was established in 2006, and is dedicated to fundraising to support people affected by cancer.
It is a Charity Organisation based in New Zealand, with their main goals being:
- To inspire people diagnosed with cancer to regain strength, body confidence and quality of life through rehabilitation and exercise
- To represent all New Zealanders affected by cancer by providing our services nationwide
- To raise awareness of the benefits of prescribed rehabilitation and exercise during and after cancer treatments
- To encourage exercise through participation in local sporting events
- To promote the benefits of exercise for cancer survivors
- To identify and reduce barriers to cancer patients receiving appropriate rehabilitation, exercise counseling and management
- To reduce cancer morbidity and mortality through the delivery of PINC and STEEL Programs
- To encourage research, monitoring and measurement of our programs through academic studies
