HIGH-PERFORMANCE FREE RACEBOARD
Raceboarding is fun but very technical. Freeriding is fun but you need planing conditions. The Go Windsurfer is also fun but it’s not very high performance. The Phantom Free fills that gap: a fun, high performance FreeRaceboard. Less technical than full raceboard, more high performance than a GO Windsurfer.

A SIMPLIFIED, LESS TECHNICAL RACE BOARD
We took a Phantom shape, trimmed it down to 271 cm, kept the Bat Wings, removed the adjustable mast track and simplified the deck configuration. The board becomes lighter, simpler and more fun for more people, in all conditions.
REMI VILA
It’s an excellent board for freeride whether there is wind or not for planing. Ideal for cruising around the coast or just enjoying a nice freeride session. It’s also a step up in terms of performance compared to the Go Windsurfer. If you want to take the first step to get into the world of racing, this is the board for you
CUT-AWAYS
They feature cut-aways that reduce the extra drag created by the Bat Wings. This helps the fin grip while improving top speed and the ability to quickly accelerate.
DRAKE FREERIDE POWER
The Phantom Free is delivered with our Drake Freeride Power CNC G-10 fins that have a thin tip for speed and control.
The upright rake and thick base of these fins provide maximum stability and traction at all speeds.
DRAKE SLICK FOOTSTRAPS
There are two rows of footstraps inserts for both intermediate positions to the outside expert positions.
They come with a new generation of Drake Slick straps that are narrower than the wave straps and where the top cover is made from recycled plastic bottles, in partnership with Waste2Wear. They’re strong and comfortable with strap-size indicators for easy adjustments.
TECHNOLOGY
The Phantom Free is available in our exclusive 3DX construction.
3DX stands for three dimensional biaxial glass micro-sandwich construction. Both deck and bottom are wrapped in 45 degree biaxial glass fiber wetted out with an expanding foam epoxy cured under high pressure. The biaxial glass gives a crisp, stiff feel with flex for choppy conditions. The foam epoxy creates a 2mm skin thickness for a micro-sandwich effect: tough and strong.
