Manera Union
The UNION utilises advanced manufacturing processes, allowing it to be far lighter than other harnesses on the market. It is based on the same core principal of load dispersion and offers extreme comfort, reliability, durability and unrivalled weight characteristics.
Ride with the UNION today and get the ultimate in support from a lightweight harness, your body deserves it…
ENERGY DISPERSION PLATE
The Energy Dispersion Plate works in the same way as the ground-breaking Energy Dispersion Frame that we pioneered four years ago. The UNION integrates the plate inside the harness and it is directly connected to the spreader bar to ensure it takes 100% of the load from the kite. This creates unrivalled comfort by dispersing the pressure around your back, using a snug fit and following a heavily researched outline to ensure the optimum support. By diffusing the load around this plate and the spreader bar it takes any stress off the softer parts of the harness, such as the foam, thermoform and stitching, this makes the harness even more durable and reliable
FEATHER WEIGHT
Weighing in at just 1.1 kilos (medium size, no spreader bar) you’ll want to be careful this harness doesn’t blow away on a windy day! The UNION is one of the lightest harnesses on the market, and it stays light even when wet, as it doesn’t absorb water. The new Union is almost weightless on your body; you won’t even notice you are wearing it!
SINGLE FOAM
Comfort is paramount in any harness; the UNION uses a single injection mold to make a one-piece foam backing. This makes it exceedingly durable, as there are less parts to be glued or stitched together. It absorbs far less water and is much lighter than the multiple foam layups used in some harnesses.
DOWN HOLD SYSTEM
Because there’s nothing worse than a harness that rides up during your sessions, we developed the DOWN HOLD SYSTEM, an asymmetrical attachment that distributes the forces downward. Secured in its original position, the hook does not ride back up.
SPREEDER BAR SYSTEM
We wanted to avoid an unpleasant lateral contraction of the strap on the chest, which is why we adapt our SPREADER BAR to the belt sizes. A well-suited spreader bar will pull on both sides of the harness while a spreader bar that is too small will pull at an acute angle, putting the driver under pressure and causing uncomfortable pain.
TUCK FLAPS
The TUCK FLAPS are positioned at the ends of the spreader bar and inserted into the belt. Once the straps are tightened, they are squeezed and closed. The stiffening of the connection between the harness and the buckle prevents it from slipping up.
